Performance Summary
The Lenovo V15 G4 ABP Ryzen 7 40GB 2TB runs on the AMD Ryzen 7 7730U with 8 cores (multi-threaded), posting a PassMark multi-thread score of 18,489. That places it ahead of 48% of the 101 laptops in our database. That is comfortably mid-to-upper tier: fast app launches, smooth multitasking and respectable rendering times. See how it compares to competing chips in our catalog of AMD processor laptops.
Display
You get a 15.6″ IPS panel at 1920x1080 (141 PPI) refreshing at 60 Hz. The IPS panel offers dependable viewing angles and accurate-enough color for everyday use.
Gaming Performance
There is no dedicated GPU here — graphics run on the AMD integrated solution, scoring 3.5/10 for gaming. Esports staples (Valorant, LoL, CS2) are playable at modest settings; modern AAA gaming is off the table.
Productivity
For office and productivity work the V15 G4 ABP Ryzen 7 40GB 2TB scores 5.7/10. 40 GB of DDR5 memory keeps large spreadsheets, dozens of tabs and video calls running simultaneously without paging. The 2 TB SSD keeps boots and file operations fast.
Programming
Developers should expect a 5.4/10 experience. 8 cores handle typical web/dev stacks smoothly. Upgradeable RAM means you can start smaller and expand later.
Video Editing
Without a dGPU, editing leans entirely on the CPU — fine for 1080p cuts, slow for 4K multi-layer work. For color-critical delivery, plan on an external calibrated monitor.
3D Rendering & Engineering
3D and engineering workloads score 4.7/10. Integrated graphics restrict this machine to light 2D CAD and coursework-scale models.
Battery
Battery specifics aren’t listed in our source data, so treat this as guidance: efficiency-focused hardware like this typically delivers strong all-day endurance under office loads.
Upgradeability
RAM is socketed and user-upgradeable beyond the included 40 GB — a big longevity win. Storage is M.2 SSD-based, typically replaceable for capacity upgrades.
Heat & Noise
Integrated-graphics designs like this run cool and quiet; fan noise should only surface under sustained heavy loads.
Port Selection
Port selection isn’t enumerated in our source sheet, but as a general laptop in the 15.6″ class, expect the standard mix of USB-A, USB-C and HDMI. Verify the exact loadout on the Amazon listing before buying.
Value for Money
In the Under $1000 category, the value score is 7.1/10. Fair market pricing: you get what you pay for, with no meaningful premium. It is evaluated alongside price-bracket rivals in our top mid-range laptops under $1,000.
